Having recently reached its 60th anniversary, the 45rpm single has yet again stood up against those who predicted its demise. Sales are rising once more, which is good news for both record companies and artists alike. The music industry has suffered at the hands of the internet where downloading tracks have taken preference over buying vinyl, not to mention the introduction of CDs.
Sales figures plummeted below £180,000 in 2001, however it has now been reported that these statistics have risen back up to one million a year. With this kind of positive news now is perhaps a good time to be studying vinyl sales, whether 7” or 12”. Since sales last peaked there has been a thirty year wane in profits and at this current stage of play in the world of finance, a growth is an encouraging piece of news.
It may not be the normal method of spread betting you would generally consider, especially for those involved with financial spread betting, however if there are figures there for you to work on, there is no restriction as to what you spread bet on or indeed how you spread bet.
As with all news and advice here, nothing is a cast iron recommendation, just merely a way of keeping you in the know and by estimating the current news reports. Risk assessments should be noted before you are happy enough to part with your money.
If you wish to take a chance and risk a small bet, you may find that your gamble pays off which could end up being music to your ears!
