Raising the funds

The recent events leading upto and including Red Nose Day have surely entered into everyone’s minds at some point over the last couple of weeks. Celebrities have climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, Pop Stars have released speciality singles, some of which are good and some of which should be thrown into the skip of one hit wonders, but whatever event has taken place in order to raise money for this charity, it has all been for a worthy cause.

If you regularly visit the bookmakers you will possibly be aware that there are a few more wagers on the go than normal and this will be all centred around Red Nose Day. For example, maybe someone you know is being sponsored to sit in a bath full of beans; if they are promising to sit in the bath for a specific amount of time, why not have a spread bet on them failing to honour the time, or even going on longer than they have stated.

You will not only be contributing to a fun day fund raising, you may earn yourself a nice little packet; and if you are feeling really generous, as your winnings are all free from tax, you may be able to afford to donate a small amount to Red Nose Day – every little helps!
