Is the falling pound still a good spread bet?

Over the last few months, spread traders that specialise in the foreign currency markets, and even some savvy ordinary investors, have reaped some huge rewards by spread betting on the falling pound. Returns by spread trading on the demise of this currency have reaped greater rewards than buying shares and both spread betting companies and fixed odds bookmakers have reported an increase in bets on this currency.

Those who are only just catching on to the benefits and advantages of spread trading may well be wondering, seeing as the pound reached its lowest level since 1999 just this month, how much further can it fall and is there still money to be made from spread trading on the falling pound?

Those who can correctly foresee the movements of the foreign currency markets can certainly make their fortune from the recent volatility, however, opinions do differ.

Some feel that the pound could reach a level as low as just 1 Euro by the end of December and others feel it could snap back after such a long fall.

Professional spread bettors, or spread traders as they prefer to be referred to as, spend much time researching their chosen field of interest and making sure they know their stuff.
