Professional spread traders and those who take it seriously, as they should if they wish to make some serious and consistent money from spread betting, often have more than one spread betting account. Indeed, many have five or even more in order to ensure that they get the best spread and the best price for a particular trade and this generally means several usernames and several passwords if a user wants to keep his accounts completely secure.
Even those not involved in spread betting accounts specifically will be aware of the problems that this causes. Forgetting usernames and passwords is easy and keeping a spreadsheet or document listing them is just as insecure. Many consumers have accounts for their email, for their Amazon, eBay, Paypal or other such account, perhaps online gaming or gambling accounts and all manner of things. One entrepreneur wants to take this problem away. Dermot Smurfit of GameAccount has plenty of ideas for developing new online games, online entertainment and the internet in general. The 33 year old Dubliner firmly believes that everybody should be able to have just the one account, whether that is for online gaming, spread betting or any retail websites. He says: “I know people with five spread betting accounts and five for online poker. I want to give them one, so they can have the same username for Amazon and for gaming, for everything.”
With the success this businessman has experienced, you probably wouldn’t bet against him.
