As the Premiership nears the end of another season

With the premier league season nearing the end, tensions continue to mount.

Speculative betting around Newcastle United and Alan Shearer has been, and will continue to be, very interesting.

The Newcastle v Middlesbrough game on the 11th of May attracted some spread betting interest around the actual attendance and the time of the first goal but after the final score, speculation returned to whether Shearer will remain in post for next season.

This Tyne-Tees derby may have involved Shearer at the helm for his biggest match of his managerial career to date but there is plenty of speculation that it could be one of his last as the Newcastle manager.

Ignoring the outcome, the prognosis and speculation isn’t really any better for Gareth Southgate.

Sport betting is popular and there are literally thousands of opportunities for sports fans to get involved in. It is an age old tradition in fact.

The variance to those old heady days of a few decades ago however, is the spread betting element.

Spread betting opened up a whole new aspect for betting on your favourite sports and matches. Speaking of which, there was surely large sums of money bet on the England v West Indies cricket matches with plenty of other matches attracting significant spread betting interest during the summer months.
